Cynthia Nixon, forever Miranda and now starring in Wit on Broadway, spoke to the New York Times about her relationship with partner Christine Marinoni, and the controversy her opinion has stirred:

 OK so she is probably bisexual (but doesn’t want to identify as that for whatever reason) but her point is that people are deserving of respect and equality even if being queer is a choice. Being caught up in an argument about whether non-heterosexuality is a choice or ‘natural’ is detrimental to people who strive for equality because it’s completely fucking irrelevant. Whether it is inbuilt/genetic like race, or a choice like religion, people of all sexualities deserve to be treated equally. So she concedes - what if it is a choice, how does that change anything?
